Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Hot Dog Log mobile application ("the App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Who We Are

Hot Dog Log is operated by Lake Missoula Ventures, LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). Questions about these Terms can be directed to support@thehotdoglog.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@thehotdoglog.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

You may not create an account on behalf of someone else, impersonate any person or entity, or use a username that is offensive or misleading.

4. Content Rules

Hot Dog Log exists to celebrate hot dogs. Posts submitted to the App are analyzed using automated image recognition to verify they depict hot dogs. Content that does not pass this check may be rejected or removed.

When using the App, you agree not to post or transmit content that:

• Does not depict a hot dog (including but not limited to: corn dogs presented ambiguously, unrelated foods, or non-food imagery posted in bad faith).
• Is illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, or harassing.
• Infringes any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Contains malware, spam, or unauthorized advertising.
• Violates any applicable law or regulation.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable, at our sole discretion, without prior notice.

5. Your Content & License to Us

You retain ownership of the photos and other content you post ("Your Content"). By posting content to the App, you grant Lake Missoula Ventures, LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, store, display, reproduce, and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the App.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to post Your Content and that doing so does not violate these Terms or any third party's rights.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Harass, bully, or intimidate other users.
• Attempt to access accounts, systems, or data you are not authorized to access.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the App.
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
• Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to create accounts or interact with the App.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App or its servers.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, logo, and original content (excluding Your Content), is owned by Lake Missoula Ventures, LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.

8. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services including Supabase and Google Cloud Vision. Your use of the App is subject to their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party service.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LAKE MISSOULA VENTURES, LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lake Missoula Ventures, LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the App, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the App at any time and contact us to request deletion of your account. Sections 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
